Guineapet enclosures

Why are Guineapet enclosures the best home for my little friends?

Happy pets are fantastic little friends! We design homes that provide your little friends with the best living space. The open top promotes interaction and makes caring for them easy. Spacious and modular, the Guineapet enclosure offers the quality of life they deserve.

The modular design allows you to expend, adapt and transform their home depending on your needs.

Your little friends´ well-being and happiness are linked to the environment you provide.

What does C&C stand for? What does 2X4 mean?

“C&C” stands for Cubes and Coroplast. Cubes are metal wire mesh panels that fit together with special four-way connectors used to create the modular enclosure. Coroplast, or Correx, is the plastic sheeting used as a waterproof base for the cage. 2X3, 2X4, 2X5, etc, refer to the enclosure size. For example, a 2X4 C&C cage has two 13.77" / 35X35cm wire mesh panels widthwise and four panels lengthwise.

How do I chose the right home for my little friends?

We offer a variety of modular wooden and C&C enclosures for your little friends. Spacious and flexible, the Guineapet enclosures are designed specifically for your small pets.

As a rule of thumb, the larger the better. Our little friends will only thrive and show their true personality with an adequate living space. Guinea Pigs are active social herd animals that need room to move around and interact with their kind. Keep at least two Guinea Pigs. Larger herds are better but require more space.

A 10.56 ft² / 0.98m² or a 2X4 Guineapet enclosure provides the minimum space required for 2 or 3 Guinea Pigs.
A 13.21 ft² / 1.225m² or a 2X5 Guineapet enclosure provides the minimum space required for 3 or 4 Guinea Pigs.
A 15.85 ft² / 1.47m² or a 2X6 Guineapet enclosure provides the minimum space required for 4 or 5 Guinea Pigs.

Separating your Guinea Pigs can sometimes be necessary for health-related issues or bonding. In this case, we recommend a 7.92 ft²/ 0.735 m² or 2X3 Guineapet enclosure.

Consider a minumum of 7.50 ft²/ 0.70m² per additional pets.

Guineapet enclosures are modular and can expand, transform, and adapt depending on your needs.

They love to explore and play around. Happy and healthy Guinea Pigs have sudden bursts of energy and need a large enough home for zoomies. Even with a large enclosure, daily playtime outside of the cage, once a day, is essential.

Feel free to browse the shop to find the perfect home for your little friends.

For more information, please refer to our Guinea Pigs Home guide.

I already own a C&C cage. Are your C&C products compatible?

Yes. Please double-check that the square panels are 13.77" / 35cm on each side for compatibility with your current setup and ensure the Coroplast fits perfectly.

What else do I need to turn an enclosure into a home?

Your little friends need bedding that absorbs urine efficiently. Guineapet´s cage liners and pee pads are the best solution. The most common bedding materials, like pine wood shavings litter, can be messy and expensive in the long run. They sometimes cause health problems such as allergies and respiratory issues or contain mites. Damp bedding can cause bad smells, health issues, and discomfort. Guinea pigs and Rabbits have delicate feet, so mesh and grid bases are not an option.

Highly absorbent and easy to manage, Guineapet® liners keep your pets dry and comfortable when walking and lying down, and they look so much better!

Combine different colors and include pee pads and accessories for a stunning setup! For more information on bedding options, please visit our blog.

Guinea pigs love to hide. Adding tunnels, cozy hideouts, or wooden houses gives them a sense of security and provides all the comfort they deserve. More accessories can enrich their environment, promote activity and exploring behavior, and allow your little friends to relax. Having one hidey for each little friend is a good idea since Guinea Pigs enjoy some time alone, and little choice can lead to disputes between them.

Make sure to cover the basics. Guinea pigs must have daily access to water, hay, fresh vegetables or foraged plants and weeds, and guinea pig pellet food. Place vegetables and pellets in separate bowls. Fresh and dry hay should be available at all times for grazing. A feeder keeps it off the floor, avoids spoilage and waste, and keeps everything neat.

Your little friends need unlimited access to fresh water. A drip water bottle is a must. Although a bowl of water can work, it can quickly become dirty and create a mess. Attach the water bottle to the C&C cage with support or use a water bottle stand.

Are Guineapet enclosures suitable for any pet?

Guineapet enclosures are perfect for Guinea Pigs and Hedgehogs. We now have C&C enclosures especially designed for Rabbits.

Are Guineapet enclosures safe for baby pets?

The wooden Guineapet enclosures are safe for pets of any age, even new borns. Our C&C enclosures grid design is safe for young pets over height weeks. We recommend monitoring pups befor leaving unatended.

I want to expand their house. Can I buy the parts I need?

Yes, of course! All the parts necessary to expand and upgrade your current Guineapet wooden and C&C setup are available.

You can find wooden panels and spare parts here.

All C&C panels and connectors are available here.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We will gladly guide you in creating the perfect house for your little friends.

Are the transparent C&C and Wooden enclosures better?

Yes, the C&C with transparent panels and our Wooden Homes are a great choice if you are looking for a solution that better fits your home décor, reduces chewing behavior from your little friends and offers an unobstructed view for you and your pets.

Do I need a coroplast base for my Guineapet enclosure?

Your little friends need a smooth base in their cage and should never be on a wire cage floor. Coroplast is a waterproof, recyclable plastic sheeting that forms the bottom of the enclosure.
Coroplast is durable, lightweight, easy to clean, and takes little space when folded. The Coroplast base keeps bedding and hay from spilling out of the cage and protects the floor. Guineapet Coroplast bases are pre-cut, scored, easy to assemble and ready for use.

Use our nibble guards if chewing is an issue or concern.

Guineapet Liners

Why use Guineapet liners and pee pads?

Your little friends need bedding that absorbs urine efficiently. Guineapet´s cage liners and pee pads are the best solution.

The most common bedding materials, like cedar and pine shavings are NOT recommended due to chemicals they both contain. They are messy and expensive in the long run. They sometimes cause health problems such as allergies and respiratory issues or contain mites. Damp bedding can cause bad smells, health issues, and discomfort.

Guinea pigs and Rabbits have delicate feet, so mesh and grid bases are not an option.

When following the care instructions, a Guineapet® liner can last for years. Even when constantly in use. It pays for itself over time.

How about odor control?

Compared to other subtracts Guineapet® Fleece Liners are better at controlling odors. They also keep your pet´s bottom dry for more comfort.

We recommend using Pee Pads in sensitive areas to increase cleaning intervals.

How often should I wash the liner?

Replace and machine wash the liners and pee pads when saturated with liquids or every five to seven days, depending on the number of pets and the enclosure size.

We recommend a daily spot clean. Just brush off hay and droppings. Cleaning your Guineapet® Liner is quick and easy.

Enjoy trouble-free maintenance thanks to our unique quilted wave pattern.

How many liners do I need?

You will need to switch between washes. For a functional setup, a pair of liners is the minimum. Additional items allow you to manage cleaning better.

You can match different colors and create the dreamy combos and gorgeous setups we love. Follow your heart!
